"
The improvement in functionality over our previous system is amazing ...we
have identified one vehicle in our fleet that was costing us £15 per week in unauthorized journeys.
None of this would have been possible without the Quartix system from Zest tracking."

The 3-Peaks Finder! - tracking a Team from Ipswich : Friday 6th August 2010
Based in Ipswich, Suffolk, this team is a group of local people who all have a passion for helping others while attempting what might seem the impossible!
They undetook the 24 hour Three Peaks Challenge on the 5th August 2010 for two local charities. This involved climbing to the top of the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales.
The challenge began with Ben Nevis at 5pm and once completed they had a seven hour drive to the 2nd peak, Scafell Pike. After completing the assent and swift decent they then travelled to Snowdon.
The team was raising money for two local Charities;
- Suffolk MIND
- EACH (East Anglia Children's Hospice)
Three team members were equipped with Zest : trak™ Mobile Phone tracking software from Zest Tracking, which is regularly updating Zest's mapping service with their location via the GPRS network.

Fran's Big Adventure - tracking a Voyage Around the UK (May to July 2010)
Frances Gifford set sail from Waldringfield in Suffolk on Saturday 15th May, on a voyage around the UK in a Wayfarer dinghy. She was equipped with a Zest : trak™ Lite - a compact GPS tracking device from Zest Tracking, which regularly updated Zest's mapping service with her location via the GPRS network.
The two charities that Fran was supporting were the RNLI and Shining Life. The RNLI provides the rescue service that us seafarers know is always there should we get into difficulties. They risk their lives to save ours. Shining Life Children's Trust runs projects in Sri Lanka supporting disadvantaged children and families.
Taking the Zest : trak™ Lite into a harsh marine environment is a very severe test indeed. Not only is there the corrosive exposure to salt-water, but also much of the UK coastline is sparsely populated with very weak mobile GPRS signal out at sea.
To illustrate the challenge, Fran's first Zest GPS Tracker accidentally came into contact with Salt Water in North Wales, but a replacement 'Fran Finder' was made available and was first picked up leaving Findhorn Bay (near Forres in Scotland) at 06:30 on Wed 30th June as Viper starts back South to home...
Nevertheless, for Zest Tracking, this voyage has provided valuable insight into the potential for GPS trackers in extreme environments, whilst Fran's followers could see her position updated every half-hour for a remarkably high proportion of the time at sea, as well as readily being able to identify which bed and breakfast she was staying in overnight!
